West Liberty Summer Street Market & Fireworks | The Last Saturday in June - West Liberty kicks off the holiday season with one of the biggest small-village events of the summer. Established in 1817, West Liberty is a historic village along the Mad River corridor, known for its charming downtown, community events, and easy access to some of Logan County’s most-loved attractions.

The West Liberty Summer Street Market is held at Lion’s Park on the Saturday before July 4th, turning the park into a full-day celebration with vendors, food trucks, live music, 10U tournament baseball, a car show, quarter midget racing, cornhole, DORA, and fireworks at dusk. The market runs from noon to 10 PM, but with baseball beginning earlier in the day, this is the kind of event where visitors can arrive early, settle in, and stay through the fireworks.
This is not a quick-stop event. It is a “bring your people, make the drive, and stay all day” kind of celebration.

Rushsylvania Independence Day Celebration | The Last Saturday in June - Rushsylvania brings classic small-town Independence Day energy to the holiday season with a celebration full of food, games, family activities, and fireworks.
The day begins with a community breakfast at the Lions Club from 8 to 10 AM, followed by a noon parade on North Stewart Street. From early afternoon until dusk, the park fills with food trucks, vendors, bounce houses, live music, old-fashioned games, cornhole, ice cream with the mayor, eating contests, a cake walk, scavenger hunt, and fireworks at dusk.

Bellefontaine Independence Day Celebration | July 3 - Bellefontaine, the county seat and largest city in Logan County, hosts one of the area’s newest Independence Day traditions at Blue Jacket Park. After taking a 50 year hiatus, Bellefontaine brought the boom back for America’s 250th. Known as the “Peak of Ohio,” Bellefontaine blends small-city energy with local pride, making it a natural gathering place for one of the county’s biggest holiday celebrations.

The celebration takes place on July 3rd, with activities beginning at noon. Families can enjoy food trucks, sweet treats, bounce houses, inflatables, cornhole tournaments, a dunk tank, a petting zoo, community activities, and plenty of space to spread out with lawn chairs and blankets.
Fireworks begin at dark, accompanied by music from the local radio station, WPKO.

Belle Center Independence Day Celebration | July 4 - Belle Center keeps the Fourth of July feeling festive with a full day of hometown fun and one of the county’s most talked-about fireworks displays.

The village celebration takes place annually on July 4, kicking festivities off with a parade at noon. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy food trucks, games, tournaments, music, some crazy games, and a karaoke contest. Belle Center also brings some bragging rights into the holiday season after being voted Best Fireworks in Logan County in 2025. The explosions begin at dusk with their iconic fireball setting the tone for an explosive night!

West Mansfield Independence Day Celebration | July 4 - The Village of West Mansfield offers a full day of community tradition on the Fourth of July. This Village of less than 1000 people has deep roots in Logan County history and knows how to mark a holiday.

The West Mansfield Independence Day Celebration includes a pancake breakfast, 5K race, parade, food trucks, craft vendors, bounce houses, free kids games, softball tournament, live music, a cakewalk, raffles, silent auction, camping, and fireworks.

It is a full-scale village celebration with something happening from morning through evening — a great option for anyone who loves the kind of Fourth of July where the whole community shows up.

Indian Lake Light Up the Lake | The First Saturday in July - Few Logan County celebrations are as iconic as Light Up the Lake at Indian Lake. Known for boating, summer weekends, and lakefront traditions, Indian Lake turns Independence Day into a destination experience.

The day begins with the 5K on the Lake, starting at 8 AM in Lakeview. Later that evening, visitors can tune in to 98.3 WPKO for the professionally choreographed fireworks show that puts the large cities to shame! As is tradition, single fireworks will launch every 10 minutes after 9pm as a countdown to the main event

East Liberty Independence Day Celebration | The Saturday after the 4th - East Liberty keeps the celebration going the weekend after the Fourth with a family-focused event built around kids activities, games, and fireworks.

With a population of under 500 residents, East Liberty quadruples in size for the day! The East Liberty Independence Day Celebration takes place on the Saturday following the holiday, with a kids carnival, bounce houses, putt-putt golf, carnival games, and fireworks.
It is a great final stop for families who want to stretch the holiday season just a little longer.

The best part about Independence Day in Logan County is that the celebration does not happen in just one place.
Start early with West Liberty and Rushsylvania in June. Celebrate in Bellefontaine on July 3. Spend July 4 in Belle Center, West Mansfield, or at Indian Lake. Then close out the season in East Liberty.
