If you love local shopping, handmade goods, fresh farm-market finds, and a good excuse to spend a summer day wandering somewhere charming, Made in Ohio at Hurley Farms deserves a spot on your calendar.

Held in Huntsville, Ohio, this annual event brings together Ohio makers, artists, crafters, food vendors, and shoppers for a day filled with creativity, community, and farm-market charm. Visitors can browse Ohio-made goods, handmade décor, specialty foods, artwork, and more while enjoying food trucks and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere Hurley Farms is known for.
A Logan County Summer Shopping Tradition
Made in Ohio is one of Logan County’s quieter success stories. It may not have the giant crowds of the Indian Lake Fall Festival or the high-energy street party feel of Downtown Bellefontaine events, but that is part of its charm. This event has carved out a loyal following by staying focused on what it does best: Ohio-made products, local artisans, handmade goods, and the farm experience.
Typically held on the last Saturday in July, Made in Ohio has grown into a well-established annual event. Well over a decade old now, this tradition has been bringing shoppers and makers together for about a decade.
What started as a local craft and vendor event has become one of Logan County’s signature summer shopping experiences, especially for visitors looking for authentic Ohio-made goods in a relaxed rural setting.
What Makes Made in Ohio DifferentThere are plenty of craft shows, vendor markets, and summer shopping events across Ohio. What makes Made in Ohio special is the setting.
Instead of feeling like a traditional craft fair in a hall or fairground, this event feels like spending the day at a working farm market with dozens of extra makers and vendors joining the fun.
Hurley Farms already has a strong local following. Recognized by local voters as Logan County’s Best Farm Market, the farm has built its reputation on fresh produce, friendly service, baked goods, deli items, seasonal favorites, and the kind of market experience that makes people want to slow down and browse.
Every year is a little different, but Made in Ohio generally features 40 to 60 or more artisan and craft vendors, and the region’s favorite food trucks.
The result is simple: a summer shopping day that feels local, personal, and worth the drive.
Food, Farm Market Finds, and Local FlavorOne of the best parts of Made in Ohio is that the event isn’t a stand-alone event. Taking place at Hurley Farms means visitors can also enjoy the farm market’s regular offerings while they shop.
Hurley Farms has been part of the Logan County farm-market scene for a couple of decades, and the business continues to grow. The farm stand is located just outside Huntsville on State Route 117 and is hard to miss if you are traveling through the area.
Depending on the season, shoppers may find fresh local produce, strawberries, sweet corn, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and some of the most unique pumpkins in the area later in the year. Inside the market, visitors can pick up deli sandwiches made with fresh meats and cheeses, Amish baked goods, local meats, canned goods, pies, snacks, and specialty treats.
Make a Day of It in Logan CountyMade in Ohio is easy to pair with a summer drive through Logan County.
Huntsville sits close to Indian Lake, Bellefontaine, and other local stops, making it a simple addition to a day trip. Visitors can shop the event in the morning, grab lunch from a food truck or the Hurley Farms deli, then explore more of the area in the afternoon. Bellefontaine is quickly becoming known for its vibrant downtown, growing food scene and eclectic mix of entertainment. Indian Lake is, well, Indian Lake! Gorgeous views, relaxed atmosphere and some really great spots to play miniature golf, grab a great burger or catch a local band. The Village of West Liberty, on the south end of the County always surprises with the knockout punch of Marie's Candies and Stoners Ice Cream. Paired with some great village shops and beautiful Lions Park, it's a can't miss. And finally, just outside of the village, Piatt Castle Mac-A-Cheek and Ohio Caverns transport visitors into worlds all their own. You could honestly book one of the numerous short-term rentals for the weekend and make a mini vacation out of it.
Whether you are coming from Bellefontaine, Indian Lake, Marysville, Lima, Columbus, or somewhere further afield, this is the kind of event that makes a summer Saturday feel well spent. It is locally rooted, easy to enjoy, and built around the simple pleasure of finding something made with care. Whether you are shopping for gifts, stocking up on farm-market favorites, supporting Ohio makers, or just looking for a pleasant summer outing, this event delivers.
Make the trip, support local craftsmen, and maybe leave a little room in the car for the things you did'nt plan to buy
